NZOHS Professional Contribution Award – (2020 Applications Closed)
NZOHS Professional Contribution Award is an award given to a member of the New Zealand Occupational Hygiene Society (NZOHS) for their contribution to the profession and is sponsored by NZOHS. The award provides a selected applicant with the opportunity to be rewarded for their contribution through attendance to the NZOHS conference including continuing education sessions and conference events between 5 and 7 May 2020. The conference will be located in Queenstown. The award will also cover reasonable associated costs such as travel and accommodation (if required).
The award will not be made if, in the opinion of the award selection committee or NZOHS, applicants do not meet the specified requirements. If the award is made, the successful applicant will be notified in writing by the administrator of the society.
Award candidates will be responsible for providing their own insurances (if applicable) and any additional requirements which have not been outlined above.
Eligibility
Any financial fee paying member of the NZOHS is eligible to apply for the sponsorship. This includes members from associate level and above. This award is targeted at members of NZOHS who have made significant contribution to the Occupational Hygiene profession in New Zealand (e.g., through sub-committees, prior Councils, research, development of processes/systems). Members of the NZOHS Council and the Selection Committee are also not eligible to apply, as are any other members with a professional conflict of interest.
The Application Process
Applications must be made using the electronic Application Form available on the NZOHS website “Awards” tab (https://nzohs.org.nz/awards/). Read and understand the supporting documents, fill in the form, scan and attach the required documents/reports, make a copy for your own records, then submit electronically to the NZOHS Administrator (admin@nzohs.org.nz). Hard copies of the Form or attachments will not be accepted. Applications close on 4 March 2020. The award will be announced no later than 14 March 2020. Early bird prices will be made available for unsuccessful applicants. If flights, accommodation or fees have already been purchased, reasonable costs will be reimbursed following evidence of receipt.
